Dear Member
I thought I would write to you as we head into the second week of social distancing, and/or isolation, due to the Corona virus emergency.
I am pleased to tell you that our Treasurer James Mayes completed work on the accounts for the DCCA and that these have been signed off by our accountants and myself and submitted to Central Office in accordance with their instructions. We will place them before you for formal approval when we are able to properly call our AGM. In the meantime a copy of the accounts is attached to this message which you may open to read at your leisure.
The robust figures reflect the extremely generous donations given by you all to the General Election Fighting fund and will help us give strong support both to our candidate for the post of Police & Crime Commissioner, Jonathon Seed, and our excellent Wiltshire Council candidates when the elections take place in May 2021.
By force of necessity this message can only be sent to those of you who have supplied their email addresses. I would be very grateful if you make any fellow member whom you know who has not received this message aware of its content. If they actually now have an email address and send it to the DCCA office we will make sure they are added to our list.
In the meantime I can only hope that you are dealing as well as possible with the pressures of this unprecedented situation. Please reach out to your fellow members, especially those who may be alone or in poor health, and let me, or any of your committee know if there is anything we can do to help.
Kind regards and best wishes to you all,
Stuart Wheeler
Chairman DCCA.
