Have you heard the exciting news? Conservative led Wiltshire Council are trialling their first 100% electric Refuse Collection Vehicle (eRCV)!
Wiltshire Council has invested in a 100% eRCV which contributes to cleaner air as it does not produce exhaust gas. This will be trialled around the county, in support of their objectives to reduce carbon emissions and modernise their fleet to low carbon vehicles. This trial aims to understand the performance of the vehicle and help assist in the forward planning for future waste collection fleet procurement.
This trial will fully test the capabilities of electric waste vehicles in Wiltshire and help them understand how they can use these vehicles for future collections.
