For the third year running, Conservative led Wiltshire Council will be hosting its EmployAbility Jobs Fair to support jobseekers with disabilities.
It takes place at County Hall, Trowbridge, from 10am 2pm on Tuesday 1 October.
The event supports jobseekers with disabilities by putting them in touch with local employers and with support services who can offer advice. All members of the public with or without a disability are welcome to attend.
Around 30 local employers and support services will be attending this year's event, including McDonalds, Wiltshire Police, National Trust, Asda, and Longleat. Wiltshire College, Somerset Skills and Learning and the Job Centre will also be attending to offer advice on training and getting a job.
The national careers service provider Adviza will also be attending and will be providing free CV health checks, so jobseekers can bring their CV's along to take advantage of this.
The venue is accessible by wheelchair and a British Sign Language interpreter will also be available.
Allison Bucknell, Conservative Councillor, Cabinet Member and Chair of the Equality and Diversity Steering Group, will also be attending. She said: "I am delighted that this event gets bigger and better every year and I encourage anyone with a disability that is looking for employment or training to come along.
"In today's society it is wrong that people with disabilities are still finding it difficult to gain meaningful employment. There are some great organisations in our county, including ourselves, who see past the disability and recognise the value of having a more inclusive workforce.
"There is so much untapped talent and potential just waiting to be discovered so we hope this will be a real platform for people with disabilities to showcase themselves to some high-profile organisations, and vice versa."
